How It Works
Speed dating is a fast paced, fun way for busy singles to
meet. But how does it work?
- Register for the event.
- On the day or evening of the event, sign
in and order your drinks from the bar or wait staff. Feel free to come early for dinner or an appetizer prior to the event. Depending on
location, wait staff may be available to order drinks during the actual
event. (Just be careful you don’t spend more time ordering your drink than
on your mini-date!)
- As the
event begins, the group is divided by gender. One group will rotate every
five minutes until each couple has met. (The ring of the bell will signal
Five minutes.)
- During
each mini-date, neither party should give away any personally identifiable
information about themselves such last names, place employment, phone
number or email address. Each person will be identifiable by first name
only.
- After
each "date" the participant marks either "yes" or
"no" on their date score card.
- After
the event, the host collects the cards.
- Matches
are notified upon the approval of both parties. At that time Chaney Events
will release email addresses only. After that participants can exchange
phone numbers and take it from there.
*We strongly encourage you to take the same
precautions you would take in meeting any new person in order to assure your
safety.
